De Mariska is echt een heel bijzondere boot. Ontworpen door de beroemde bootontwerper William Fife III, begon de bouw in 1903. Ze begon haar eerste racecarrière in 1908 en racete tot 1939.
Nadat ze in 2020 door haar huidige eigenaar werd gekocht, verhuisde ze naar Barcelona. Nu is de Mariska vrij om gecharterd te worden voor verschillende regatta's over de hele wereld.
In 2007 the Mariska was relocated to France after being found abandoned in the Netherlands. In France she underwent a 2.5 year long complete restoration and 25000 worked man-hours. She was then relaunched in September 2009.
Setting her sails in 1908, the Mariska is the oldest out of four still existing yachts of the 15mR racing class. But until this day she is still competing at the highest level of racing!
Despite her age the Mariska is still a very successful competitor and won the 15mR class trophy in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017!
